Hello beautiful ladies (and whoever else might me reading
this)! My name is Rebecca and I'll be leading our trip to India this Fall. I've
been with AIM for a couple years now, leading various Real Life trips and
helping out around the office.  I
spent this past summer leading a trip to Israel. We had an incredible team and
learned so much about not only the history of the country, but about the people
that live there now. Israel is one of my favorite places to visit and the
people there are very dear to my heart. As for India, this will be my first
time there, but my brother went on a RL trip with AIM back in January, and I'm
still hearing all of his stories from his time there! So, I look forward to
having my heart enlarged to make room for all the new faces we'll see and
stories we'll hear.

So, a little more about who I am...as you might have already
gathered, I love meeting new people and hearing someone's story. Loving people
is right below loving God. I'd even say the first is the overflow of the second!
I look forward to our time together because after reading your blogs I'd say
that we're already kindred spirits in this, and I know God will be glorified through the way we love the people in
India and each other!

When I'm not out on the field, or in the office, your best
chance of finding me is to look in one of the following places: sitting by a
lake or at a coffee shop, book in hand; working on some piece of art (confession: I'm an easily distracted pray-er, and art and photography has
become my way of capturing my attention on a specific need or person); enjoying
the gift of community with friends in Georgia or Colorado or California
or Arkansas; or pondering the deep things of life with anyone and everyone that
will join me. Wow, that was a run-on sentence if I ever wrote one...which brings
me to yet another passion: writing.  :) From those of you who have posted blogs
already, I got so excited reading them because I love coffee and photography
and gardening and community and depth AND traveling AND JESUS and OH MY GOSH it seems like I have so
much in common with each of you!! Let's continue to pursue those things while
we're together, ok?

I guess that's really all you need to know about me right
now. We'll have nearly 3 months to get to know each other better and I can't
tell you how excited I am for that time. For now, be praying with me for God to
bring us to a place of reckless abandon, that we will each be willing to go
wherever, do whatever, and say whatever God speaks to our hearts. And let's
pray that this would be so much more than just a mission trip that we go on and
then forget later down the road. Let's pray for a life that becomes forever
wrecked for the ordinary...forever destined to pursue God and His glory in this
earth. After all, it is the only thing truly worth pursuing on this earth.
