I can't begin to tell you all how excited I am for our trip to India! But first off, let me tell you a little about myself. My name is Mackenzie Green, but most people call me Kenzie. I'm 20 years old and live in Citrus Heights, CA. I grew up with my Dad, Mom, two-twin brothers, and one sister. I'm the baby in the family :)
As of now I am working full time as a receptionist, at a salon & spa. I work hard but try to have fun in everything I do! I absolutely love being with my amazing family, & my crazy friends. I'm obsessed with traveling (seriously I will go ANYWHERE :)), I love being at the beach, but you can find me happiest when I'm behind my camera :) I love capturing God's beauty. It is definitely one of my biggest passions. I've always had an interest in it but it started becoming my passion when i was around 14 years of age. I always thought I was going to be a world photographer, but more recently God has shown me a different path. Since graduating from high school I knew my calling was for international missions. I have this unexplainable interest in India & in the area of Human Trafficking. God has just put this country and world problem on my heart for reasons not known to me, yet. I searched around to find Christian organizations that served in India and eventually came across Adventures in Missions.
Many things happened before getting to the point of actually signing up: I got distracted, discouraged, and depressed. God threw some pretty tough things my way, but I know now that everything happens for a reason, and that "if He brings me to it, He'll bring me through it"!
After realizing that I just have to go for the things God has called me to do rather than waiting around for something to happen, I signed up. A week later I found out I was accepted and am now beginning the process of preparing for this amazing journey.
I'm looking forward to connecting with all the girls that will be joining me in India and for what God has in store for all of us. I pray for our team as a whole, and each of you as individuals, that we will not be discouraged!
